Look at the spider from the side. It is not flat. The RT01Z spider is a three-dimensional space frame, a truss carved out of a solid block of European 7075 aluminium with multi-axis CNC. Material that carries no load is gone; what remains is arranged where the braking force actually travels.

That is the RADIAL family DNA: rotating radial structures, carved, not cast.

A 3D structure does two things at once. Removing volume from the spider cuts rotating mass, so the wheel spins up and slows down with less effort. And the open truss exposes far more surface to the airflow than a solid disc, so heat leaves the rotor faster on long descents.

Two results, one geometry, no add-on cooling fins.

The braking surface is Japanese SUS-410 stainless steel at the 1.8 mm standard thickness. We did not shave it down for the scale. The thickness is calculated for the balance of rigidity, heat capacity and long-term wear that a rotor needs when paired with powerful multi-piston calipers.

Stable friction coefficient under sustained heat. Consistent feel, descent after descent.

The RT01Z uses the Center Lock interface, so it drops onto any Center Lock hub. Two-piece construction pairs a stainless braking track with a machined 7075 spider, each material doing the job it is best at. The lock ring is in the box.
